Thursday News

What a day! Sorry this is so late but we have moved from one thing to another.

The shark pond this morning was amazing. You have to swim slowly and quietly so you don't scare the sharks. It was pretty hard to touch them but when you moved slowly it was pretty cool to watch them swimming below you.

The
algae lab was very great too. It is hard to believe how many things are hiding in the algae. You can't really see anything but when you start to pull it apart, there are animals all over the place. We found at least three octopus, a lot of brittle stars, a bunch of crabs, tons and tons of worms – many, many as our guide said, and lots of other things.

Our
boat trips were windy but we swam close to the mangrove. We saw many different kinds of fish, sponges of all shapes and sizes, but the most fun was the boat that caught a lobster.

We liked being able to go to the camp store today too. The ice cream was delicious and we were able to buy some souvenirs and t-shirts.

Lunch was hot dogs which were good. Some of us didn't like the
dinner meatloaf but we recovered just fine with pbj!

We are all pretty tired so sleeping should be easy tonight! See you tomorrow.

There are a few more
sunset pictures too if you would like to take a look.

  1. Glad you guys got to head out into the boats, even with the wind. Looked like a great day! Thanks again for the great pics. And... thank goodness for PBJ as I know mine was one that wouldn't eat the meatloaf!!!
